Cadence Ing is completing a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under Georg Pedersen.

Recognised with multiple awards for her musical achievements throughout university, Cadence has worked extensively in both the orchestral and chamber music scene. She has been principal cellist of the Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra since 2025 and has held leading positions in other Conservatorium and emerging Sydney ensembles, including the Medtner Chamber Orchestra and the Caesura Ensemble. Cadence has participated in multiple Australian Youth Orchestra programs and recorded for major film scores at Trackdown Studios.

As a solo musician, she has performed in masterclasses with renowned international artists, including Hyung Suk Bae, Camden Shaw, and Annie Jacobs-Perkins. This year, Cadence will premiere a new version of Paul Stanhope’s Cello Concerto with the Conservatorium New Music Ensemble.

Cadence joined the Delvinian String Quartet in 2025 and was awarded the prestigious Westheimer Quartet Scholarship with the ensemble.
