Selwood Hardaker
Violinist
Selwood (Sel) Hardaker is an Australian violinist. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Ole Bohn.
Sel has presented talks including Transatlantic Tunes and Indictment on Intermediate Concerti, reflecting his ongoing engagement with music beyond performance. He made his solo debut in Sojourn at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2024 and will attend the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (Vermont) in 2026, under Nelson Lee.
Beyond classical performance, Sel is an active collaborative musician. He has performed at the Sydney Opera House with Bijan Mortazavi, collaborated with boyd on the albums Resonance and Rite of Passage, and with Honeydrip on the single Next to You. He regularly performs with the Orpheus String Ensemble, promoting classical music within his local community of Wentworth Falls. His work involves performance, research and community engagement.
